Snow softening the light today, with a light SSW breeze with a settled glass. The productive water at Twin One Lake will be around sheltered bays and points. A tough forecast; the middle of the day offers the only real chance. Keep baits small and presentations quiet. The cold puts a premium on the calmest, deepest water.

Twin One Lake lies in Squamish-Lillooet Regional District, British Columbia. Elevation runs to 1,587 metres. With some 20 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. There is roughly 2.1 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. Compared with other British Columbia water on our list, it sits high. You are 22 km from Mount Currie. Beyond it, Pemberton at 28 km and Whistler at 45 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Squamish-Lillooet Regional District records list Coho salmon, sockeye salmon, rainbow trout and Chinook salmon among the fish reported. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. The near bank of Twin One Lake is often the one people ignore.
Climate normals give 11°C for August and -8°C for January. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer and winter test it. Look for the thaw near mid May; the fishing lifts straight after. From about mid May to around early November, expect open water on the long-run figures. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. It holds true on Twin One Lake more years than not.
We hold no note on access for this one. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. Light line and small metal for the trout; a fly rod earns its place on calm evenings. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Failing this one, try Upper Joffre Lake, 6.6 km away. What applies at Twin One Lake may have changed since it was mapped.
