Rain on and off through the day, with a working WSW breeze and pressure sitting still. Whatever swims in Green Lake should be near reed fringes and open pockets. A grinding day likely, with the night worth the effort if any is. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

You will find Green Lake in Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen, British Columbia. Elevation runs to 1,076 metres. About 5 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. Princeton is the closest town at 35 km. Merritt lies 41 km off, Peachland another 64 km. Water in the same corner: Summit Lake just 0.8 km, Gladstone Lake 0.9 km, Prosser Lake just 1.1 km, Taylor Lake 1.2 km and Deadman Lake just 1.4 km. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
We hold no depth figure for this one. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Reported across Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen: sockeye salmon, rainbow trout, Coho salmon and common carp. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. Green Lake gives up more to patience than to distance.
Long-run averages give August about 16°C and January about -6°C. Seasons are distinct, and each one fishes differently. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around early April. The open-water window runs from around early April to about late November in an average year. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. Green Lake fishes to that pattern most years.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. A campsite is mapped about 900 m away, which makes an early start easier. Toilets show in mapping about 1.3 km away. For the trout, small spinners and a box of nymphs cover both approaches. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. If the gate is shut, Summit Lake at 0.8 km is the nearest alternative. Ask locally about Green Lake if anything is unclear.
