Dull, settled light over the water, with a gentle ripple from the SW and no real change in pressure. The water to cover at Temple Lake is the calm side of the wind. Set the alarm around the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. The cold puts a premium on the calmest, deepest water.

Temple Lake is one of the Improvement District No. 9 waters in Alberta. It sits in pine and birch country. Small at around 3 hectares: two anglers spread out cover most of it. The closest town, Lake Louise, is 6.7 km away. The big place round here is Calgary, 150 km distant. The county line runs close by, so rules can change within a short drive.
No published figure covers depth, so learn it as you fish. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Species logged across Improvement District No. 9 include brook trout, bull trout, cutthroat trout, mountain whitefish and rainbow trout. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. Temple Lake responds to conditions more than to tactics.
The seasonal spread runs -14°C to 9°C. A full turn of seasons, with the strongest sport on either side of summer. Ice-out usually falls in late May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Ice clears near late May and comes back about late October in a typical year. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. Anyone fishing Temple Lake regularly works to that calendar.
Public data does not answer the access question here. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. For the trout, small spinners and a box of nymphs cover both approaches. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. The nearest alternative is Lake Annette, 2 km out. Nothing on Temple Lake should be assumed from this page alone.
