Clear air and long views across the water tonight, with a faint NE drift and pressure sitting still. Activity on Whites Lagoon should centre on the drains as the water falls. The useful hours run night into morning. Trust the forecast and stay out through the window. A spring day: afternoons beat mornings while nights stay cold.

Whites Lagoon is a Berrigan water, in New South Wales. It sits at 120 metres above sea level. It runs to roughly 20 hectares — big enough to hold fish away from the bank, small enough to learn. Nothing else we list in Berrigan covers more water. You are 1.7 km from Tocumwal. For a city, Bendigo is 156 km off. Local rules may differ a few miles either side of here.
We hold no depth figure for this one. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Species logged nearby in open biodiversity records include trout cod, common carp, Murray cod and golden perch. Some of the species recorded here are protected or tightly regulated, so check what may be targeted before you fish. Whites Lagoon fishes better once you know its edges.
The year swings from about 8°C in July to roughly 24°C in February. Warm months push fish deep; cool months bring them back. Winter here is cool and quiet, and often the most comfortable time out. Spring, September into November, fishes hardest, with autumn a close second. Whites Lagoon runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. It is recorded as an oxbow, which means still water with a river's shape. There is recorded parking some 530 m off. Light line and small metal for the trout; a fly rod earns its place on calm evenings. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Should this one be busy, Walkers Lagoon is 5.6 km off. Signs at Whites Lagoon carry more weight than any list.
