Suckermouth Catfish
The common pleco, Hypostomus plecostomus, is a freshwater catfish native to South America, popular in the aquarium trade for its algae-eating habits. It has a distinct armored body and a suckermouth used to attach to surfaces. Plecos are nocturnal and prefer hiding during the day.
