Heavy overcast holding through the day, with a kind ESE breeze on the water and pressure leaking away. Whatever swims in Spada Lake should be near the first drop-off and weed lines. The day peaks in the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Spada Lake falls in Snohomish County, part of Washington. Elevation runs to 1,427 feet. About 2.6 sq miles, so local knowledge or a boat saves a lot of walking. The margin runs to about 13 miles in total. It is the biggest water on our Snohomish County list. Gold Bar is the closest town at 8.5 miles. For a city, Everett is 26 miles off. Rules here are straightforward: one county, one set of rules.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. Standing timber shows when the level drops, and fish sit against it. Draw-down through summer strips the margins, so follow the water out. County-wide records name Chinook salmon, pink salmon and Coho salmon. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. Spada Lake repays a walk before the first cast.
Averages move between 32°F in December and 60°F in August. Most months fish reasonably, given the right weather. It is not guaranteed from one year to the next. Spring and autumn carry the year; summer squeezes it into the ends of the day. The season on Spada Lake rarely departs from it.
We hold no note on access for this one. A boat ramp sits about 0.9 miles from the water. The water borders Morning Star Natural Resources Conservation Area, so reserve rules are likely to apply. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. The nearest alternative is Cutthroat Lakes, 2.1 miles out. What applies at Spada Lake may have changed since it was mapped.
