Heavy overcast holding through the day, with flat calm through the day with the barometer flat. Whatever swims in Moses Lake should be near the first drop-off and weed lines. Expect the better fishing from night into morning. Give the likely spots time before moving. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Look for Moses Lake in Grant County, Washington. The surroundings are sage and rock. At 10.5 sq miles you are fishing a fraction of it whatever you do. It ranks high for size among our Grant County listings. Cascade Valley is the closest place, 0.7 miles off. Further out sit Moses Lake (3 miles) and Moses Lake North (4.2 miles). It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. The old creek line under the surface is the feature worth finding. Rip-rap along the wall holds fish that the open bank never does. Reported across Grant County: yellow perch, largemouth bass, bluegill and black crappie. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. On Moses Lake the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
Between January at about 29°F and July at about 73°F, the water has a wide range to work through. A long season, with weather mattering more than the month. It should never be assumed safe, whatever the month says. The cooler months are the comfortable ones to fish here. Moses Lake runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. The nearest car park is half a mile from the water. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Should this one be busy, Potholes Reservoir is 9.4 miles off. Treat access at Moses Lake as something to verify.
