No cloud to trap the day's warmth tonight, with a kind ESE breeze on the water and a rising glass. Whatever swims in Lake Sally Ann should be near the shallows early and the drop later. Expect the better fishing from night into morning. Give the likely spots time before moving. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lake Sally Ann is one of the Snohomish County waters in Washington. Land around it is pine and birch. It covers about 3 acres, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. Our Snohomish County list holds plenty of bigger water. Supplies mean a trip to Gold Bar, 26 miles off. Further out sit Darrington (29 miles) and Sultan (32 miles). The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Depth figures are not published for this one. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Across Snohomish County, recorded fish include Chinook salmon, pink salmon, Coho salmon and largemouth bass. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. Read Lake Sally Ann before you fish it and the day goes better.
Typical August readings run about 56°F; by December the average is down near 22°F. Winter shuts the surface down for months. Count the season from break-up, usually late April. On the long-run averages the water opens up around late April and starts locking again about late November. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. On Lake Sally Ann the same rules apply, with local timing.
Public data does not answer the access question here. Public toilets are recorded roughly 50 yards off. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Should this one be busy, Little Blue Lake is 2.1 miles off. Where Lake Sally Ann is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
