Night
Set in King County, Washington, this is June Lake. Rolling bush runs right down to the water. At 3 acres it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. It is one of the smaller waters we list in King County. Tanner lies 26 miles from the water. Leavenworth follows at 27 miles, then Riverbend at 27 miles. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Open data we checked carries no depth for this water. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. King County records list Chum salmon, Coho salmon and Chinook salmon among the fish reported. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. On June Lake the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
Averages here run 56°F at the top of summer and 24°F at the bottom of winter. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. Winter locks it down, and late April brings it back. On the long-run averages the water opens up around late April and starts locking again about late November. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. Expect June Lake to follow that timing.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. Mapping is blank for access, so scout the approach before committing the car. For the trout, small spinners and a box of nymphs cover both approaches. A landowner's word beats anything printed elsewhere. Access can change hands, so last year's answer may not hold. Failing this one, try Mary Lake, 0.2 miles away. Nothing on June Lake should be assumed from this page alone.
