Glare on the water under a clear sky, with light air out of the SE and no real change in pressure. Glory Lake should fish best around sheltered bays and points today. The best of it runs night into morning. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Look for Glory Lake in the Chelan County part of Washington. The ground around here is lake country bush. Surface area runs to about 2 acres — small enough to read in one session. Most waters listed here for Chelan County are larger. Start from Darrington, 32 miles down the road. It is 65 miles to Everett, the nearest city. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Across Chelan County, recorded fish include cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, sockeye salmon, Chinook salmon and largemouth bass. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. Glory Lake gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
Between December at about 20°F and August at about 56°F, the water has a wide range to work through. Winter shuts things down for a spell, then spring reopens them fast. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around late April. Break-up sits around late April on average, with the water closing again about mid November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Glory Lake runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Local rules can differ across the county line, so check where you stand. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Should this one be busy, Trapper Lake is 1.8 miles off. None of that is settled for Glory Lake in what we hold.
