No direct sun expected today, with hardly a ripple anywhere and pressure on the rise. Activity on Hall Lake should centre on the weed line and any gaps in it. Expect the better fishing from afternoon into evening. Give the likely spots time before moving. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

This water sits in Montgomery County, Texas. Beyond the shoreline you have warm bottomland. The water measures roughly 6 acres, so nothing here is far from anything else. It is a small entry by Montgomery County standards. The town to know is Pinehurst, 2.9 miles out. The big place round here is Cypress, 17 miles distant. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Our records hold no depth for this water. Built water gives depth close in, which suits a bank angler. Standing timber shows when the level drops, and fish sit against it. Biodiversity records within roughly six miles include bluegill, green sunfish and warmouth. Presence in the area does not guarantee a fish on the day. Fish Hall Lake where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
Climate records put July near 83°F and January near 49°F. The whole calendar is open, with dawn and dusk the productive hours in summer. Heat pushes fish deep from June onwards, so start early. March through May is the strongest run, with October and November a second stretch. Hall Lake runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. Nothing built is recorded close to the bank here. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lake Hollow, 2.1 miles away, makes the obvious fallback. Check the position at Hall Lake before loading the car.
