Heavy overcast holding through the day, with mild air moving in from the SSW and pressure ticking upward. The productive water at Teagues Lake will be around inflow corners and shaded margins. The best of it runs the day. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Teagues Lake falls in Laurens County, part of South Carolina. This is dry hill country. It covers about 12 acres, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. Laurens is the closest place, 3.9 miles off. After that come Watts Mills at 4.5 miles and Clinton at 11 miles. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. Standing timber shows when the level drops, and fish sit against it. Levels move with the draw rather than the rain on water like this. Records collected within a few miles name black crappie, redbreast sunfish, green sunfish, largemouth bass and striped jumprock. Records show what people reported, so treat the list as a guide to what lives in the area. On Teagues Lake that means starting tight and working out.
Climate normals give 79°F for July and 41°F for January. The year never really closes; it just gets uncomfortable in summer. March through May is the strongest run, with autumn a second stretch. February into May fishes hardest as the water warms. That is the shape of the year on Teagues Lake.
Nothing in our records says who may fish here. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Rules differ from one water to the next round here. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Failing this one, try Abbotts Pond, 1.8 miles away. Nothing on Teagues Lake should be assumed from this page alone.
