Not a cloud worth mentioning today, with a helpful ripple pushed from the NW and pressure easing off. Start the search at Rock Hill Pond along the closest cover to deeper water. A long productive spell runs night into morning. Make the first hour count and build on it. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Out in Pike County, Pennsylvania, sits Rock Hill Pond. The bank is 1,407 feet above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 15 acres, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. Hemlock Farms is the closest town at 1.4 miles. For a city, Paterson is 52 miles off. Others close at hand: Hemlock Lake (1.8 miles), Lower Hemlock Lake at about 2 miles, McConnell Pond (2 miles), Elm Lake at about 2 miles and Sunrise Lake (3 miles). The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Across Pike County, recorded fish include yellow perch, brown trout and bluegill. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. Rock Hill Pond responds to conditions more than to tactics.
Expect July near 68°F and January near 22°F on the long-run figures. The freeze arrives properly here and holds. Look for the thaw near early April; the fishing lifts straight after. Expect the water usable from around early April until roughly late December. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. Expect Rock Hill Pond to follow that timing.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. Mapping shows a campsite some 0.9 miles from the water. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Failing this one, try Hemlock Lake, 1.8 miles away. Treat Rock Hill Pond as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
