Thin cloud passing over the water tonight, with air barely moving and steady pressure. Fish at Milltown Reservoir should hold close to the dam face and creek arms. The day holds up well from afternoon into evening. Work the productive water thoroughly. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Look for Milltown Reservoir in the Chester County part of Pennsylvania. The coast is 12 miles away. About 10 acres of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. It is low-lying compared with other Pennsylvania water we list. The town to know is West Chester, 3.4 miles out. After that come Malvern at 4.9 miles and Exton at 5.7 miles. The boundary is near enough that local access rules are worth double-checking.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. Inflow corners move water, and moving water gathers fish. Levels move with the draw rather than the rain on water like this. Survey and observation records for Chester County include bluegill, largemouth bass and black crappie. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. Milltown Reservoir gives up more to patience than to distance.
Expect July to average close to 74°F, with January the cold end at about 30°F. The year turns gently, without extremes at either end. In milder years the edges alone go, and the middle never sets. March through May is the strongest run, with October and November a second stretch. At Milltown Reservoir the season follows that pattern closely.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. Expect 0.9 miles away in from where the car goes. Mapping shows a picnic spot within 0.9 miles. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Westtown Lake, 1.2 miles away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Milltown Reservoir in what we hold.
