No cloud to trap the day's warmth tonight, with a faint S drift with a softening glass. The productive water at Mill Creek Reservoir will be around whatever structure the drawdown has exposed. The day fishes best from night into morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop.

Night
Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, is where Mill Creek Reservoir sits. Everything around it is rolling bush. With some 93 acres of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. Around 1.4 miles of margin, front to back. Size puts it in the front rank of our Luzerne County list. Head to Laflin, 3.5 miles away, for anything you forgot. Browntown is 3.7 miles and Dupont 4.2 miles. Rules can differ a short way off, since the county line is near.
We hold no depth figure for this one. Built water gives depth close in, which suits a bank angler. Inflow corners move water, and moving water gathers fish. County-wide records name brown trout, brook trout, largemouth bass and yellow perch. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. At Mill Creek Reservoir light and wind decide more than tackle does.
Climate normals give 68°F for July and 23°F for January. Cold winters and warm summers give a wide working range. Look for the thaw near early April; the fishing lifts straight after. Ice usually gives way near early April, and forms again about late December. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. On Mill Creek Reservoir the same rules apply, with local timing.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. The car has to stay half a mile away, which shapes how much tackle you bring. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. If the gate is shut, Lake Aleeda at 1.6 miles is the nearest alternative. None of that is settled for Mill Creek Reservoir in what we hold.
