Blue sky from bank to bank today, with calm air over the water with a firming glass. Fish at Lake Laura should hold close to points where shallow meets deep. A long productive spell runs night into morning. Make the first hour count and build on it. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Look for Lake Laura in the Pike County part of Pennsylvania. It stands 1,847 feet above sea level. The edge runs 1.9 miles or so, easy to work in an afternoon. It is among the larger waters listed here for Pike County. Head to Hemlock Farms, 7 miles away, for anything you forgot. It is 50 miles to Allentown, the nearest city. A county line runs close by, so local bylaws can differ within a short drive.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. Points where the flooded channel swings in are the reliable ones. Rip-rap along the wall holds fish that the open bank never does. Species logged across Pike County include yellow perch, brown trout, bluegill, smallmouth bass and chain pickerel. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Lake Laura responds to conditions more than to tactics.
In an average year July sits at 67°F and January at 22°F. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Break-up comes around early April, and the run that follows is short and strong. Average temperatures cross freezing around early April in spring and again near mid December in autumn. Early summer and early autumn carry the open-water season. At Lake Laura the season follows that pattern closely.
The access position is unclear from public sources. No car park, ramp or path is recorded within easy reach of the shore. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. A landowner's word beats anything printed elsewhere. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Lake Earnest sits 0.8 miles off and takes the overflow. Nothing on Lake Laura should be assumed from this page alone.
