Patchy cloud over the water after dark, with a steady SW wind and the barometer holding steady. On Lake Annata, work reed fringes and open pockets first. The night is where the day comes good. Make the first hour count and build on it. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Pennsylvania holds Lake Annata, in Erie County. It sits in pine and birch. The water measures roughly 7 acres, so nothing here is far from anything else. Our Erie County list holds plenty of bigger water. Start from Albion, 4.3 miles down the road. Lake City follows at 4.8 miles, then Girard at 4.9 miles. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. Look for where the old bank line still shows under the surface. The arms fish better than the open middle whenever the water is up. Records held for Erie County cover largemouth bass, bluegill, yellow perch and black crappie. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Read Lake Annata for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
Climate records put July near 70°F and January near 25°F. A solid cap is the normal state through winter. Once it clears, about late March, the fishing comes on quickly. The open-water window runs from around late March to about late December in an average year. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. The season on Lake Annata rarely departs from it.
The access position is unclear from public sources. Nothing built is recorded close to the bank here. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. Davis Pond sits 14 miles off and takes the overflow. Check the position on Lake Annata before loading the car.
