A bright day with hardly any cloud, with light air out of the NNE as pressure slides. Graham Lake should fish best around windblown banks where food collects today. The productive run goes the day. Start on the obvious water and expand from there. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Graham Lake lies in Lane County, Oregon. It sits 38 miles in from the sea. This is a pocket water of some 5 acres, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. Nearest town is Junction City, 4.8 miles off. The nearest city of size is Eugene, an 18 miles drive. Rules can differ a short way off, since the county line is near. A short walk from the parking spot changes the water completely.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Fish documented in Lane County include rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and largescale sucker. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. The near bank of Graham Lake is often the one people ignore.
Long-term averages put August at about 67°F and December near 40°F. The season runs year-round, with the peak either side of summer. Heat pushes fish deep from June onwards, so start early. April and May are the settled weeks, with October close behind. On Graham Lake the same rules apply, with local timing.
Our records carry no access rule either way. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Failing this one, try Goodman Lake, 0.7 miles away. None of that is settled for Graham Lake in what we hold.
