Dull, settled light over the water, with hardly a ripple anywhere and pressure easing off. The water to cover at Alder Creek is the heads and tails of pools. Nothing special in any period, but nothing dead either. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.
