• Where to Fish on Dream Valley Lake

Depth is not on record here, which means reading the ground instead. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Fish documented in Hamilton County include bluegill, green sunfish, channel catfish and gizzard shad. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. At Dream Valley Lake the water rewards a slow, careful approach.

Dream Valley Lake runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.

• Tackle & Baits

The paperwork position is blank for this one. The nearest mapped parking is half a mile away, so the last stretch is on foot. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Failing this one, try Nina Lake, 3.8 miles away. Check the position at Dream Valley Lake before loading the car.
