Open sky and sharp air tonight, with a busy WSW wind on the open water and the barometer heading up. Expect most activity at Decker Lake around the first drop-off and weed lines. Block out the hours from night into morning. Cover water early, then settle where the signs are. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Decker Lake belongs to Miami County, Ohio. Everything around it is mixed forest. Small at around 17 acres: two anglers spread out cover most of it. On size it sits at the modest end of our Miami County list. For supplies, Piqua is 3.9 miles out. Covington follows at 6.2 miles, then Bradford at 8.6 miles. The boundary is near enough that local access rules are worth double-checking.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. The old creek line under the surface is the feature worth finding. A reservoir gives you a hard edge, a shelf, and not much else. Reported across Miami County: common carp, bluegill, green sunfish, greenside darter and rainbow darter. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. Decker Lake responds to conditions more than to tactics.
Expect July near 73°F and January near 25°F on the long-run figures. Winter shuts things down for a spell, then spring reopens them fast. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around mid March. On average, mid March opens the water and late December closes it again. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. The season on Decker Lake follows the weather closely.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. Mapping records no facilities at all near this water. For the carp, bait a margin spot and sit on it; corn and bread still work. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. If the gate is shut, Swift Run Lake at 1.4 miles is the nearest alternative. Nothing here settles the position at Decker Lake for certain.
