Hard light and clear air over the water, with a faint SSW drift with pressure climbing. On Rossier Lake, work windblown banks where food collects first. Plan around the stretch from night into morning. Keep moving until you find them. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

In Minnesota, Rossier Lake falls inside Stearns County. The setting is pine and birch on every side. Around 33 acres of surface means several distinct areas to work. The edge runs 1.2 miles or so, easy to work in an afternoon. For a base, Saint Joseph sits 2.1 miles out. Collegeville is 3 miles and Waite Park 4.5 miles. You are close to a county edge here; who manages the access can change within a short drive.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. County-wide records name largemouth bass, bluegill and northern pike. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. On Rossier Lake the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
Averages here run 71°F at the top of summer and 10°F at the bottom of winter. Seasons are distinct, and each one fishes differently. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly early April. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about early April until roughly late November. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. The season on Rossier Lake rarely departs from it.
Our records carry no access rule either way. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. No slipway, car park or made path shows up nearby in mapping, so treat access as rough. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Watab Lake at 0.6 miles is the sensible second choice. What applies at Rossier Lake may have changed since it was mapped.
