Steady rain over the water today, with a working SSE breeze with the glass slipping lower. Give the weed line and any gaps in it the first hour at Parkers Lake. Not a day the forecast likes; the night keeps a flicker of interest. Lower the pace and stay patient. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Parkers Lake falls in Hennepin County, part of Minnesota. Land around it is mixed forest. It measures about 93 acres, which is a comfortable size for bank fishing. The edge runs 1.4 miles or so, easy to work in an afternoon. By elevation it sits in the lower part of our Minnesota listings. Plymouth at 1.4 miles is the nearest place to stop. The nearest city of size is Minneapolis, 9.9 miles away. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Charted depth runs to roughly 42 feet at its lowest. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. County-wide records name bluegill, common carp and largemouth bass. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. The shape of Parkers Lake decides where the fish sit.
Climate normals give 72°F for July and 12°F for January. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Look for the thaw near early April; the fishing lifts straight after. On the long-run averages the water opens up around early April and starts locking again about late November. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. Parkers Lake runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Boat access is recorded roughly half a mile away. There is somewhere to leave the car, half a mile off. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. Gleason Lake sits 1.4 miles off and takes the overflow. Treat Parkers Lake as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
