Flat light and a covered sky today, with a useful SSW wind pushing food about and pressure leaking away. Give points where shallow meets deep the first hour at Lake Antoine. Everything points to the night. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Within Dickinson County, Michigan, you have Lake Antoine. It sits at 1,145 feet above sea level. Roughly 742 acres of surface: treat each bay as a water in its own right. At about 5.1 miles of edge, most people work one arm at a time. Among the waters listed for Dickinson County, none is wider. For supplies, Iron Mountain is 2 miles out. Beyond it, Quinnesec at 3 miles and Kingsford at 3.5 miles. A county line runs close by, so local bylaws can differ within a short drive.
Depth is not on record here, which means reading the ground instead. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. County-wide records name bluegill, walleye and yellow perch. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. The shape of Lake Antoine decides where the fish sit.
Averages here run 67°F at the top of summer and 11°F at the bottom of winter. Cold winters and warm summers give a wide working range. After mid April the shallows warm and the fish move up. On the long-run averages the water opens up around mid April and starts locking again about late November. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. At Lake Antoine the season follows that pattern closely.
No access rule appears in what we hold. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. There is a mapped slipway roughly half a mile away. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Check locally before you travel, because a wasted drive is a long one. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Moon Lake, 1.6 miles away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Lake Antoine in what we hold.
