No cloud to trap the day's warmth tonight, with an easy breeze from the SSW and pressure going nowhere. Fish at Hanover Lake should hold close to windblown banks where food collects. Bank on the middle of the day and treat the rest as bonus. Give the likely spots time before moving.

Set in Genesee County, Michigan, this is Hanover Lake. It lies 820 feet above sea level. It covers about 8 acres, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. Our Genesee County list holds plenty of bigger water. For supplies, Davison is 3.8 miles out. Sterling Heights is the closest city, 37 miles away. The line between counties passes nearby, which can change who manages the water.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Reported across Genesee County: bluegill, largemouth bass, pink salmon, black crappie and common carp. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. On Hanover Lake that means starting tight and working out.
Expect July near 70°F and January near 21°F on the long-run figures. A full turn of seasons, with the strongest sport on either side of summer. Look for the thaw near early April; the fishing lifts straight after. The season between ice runs from about early April to mid December. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Hanover Lake fishes to that pattern most years.
We have no record of the rules that apply on this bank. The car has to stay half a mile away, which shapes how much tackle you bring. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Check whether bait restrictions apply before you buy any. Should this one be busy, Seeley Lake is 1.7 miles off. What applies at Hanover Lake may have changed since it was mapped.
