Strong air moving over the water all day, with enough WNW wind to stack food downwind as pressure builds. The fish at Bob Lake are likely to sit near inflow corners and shaded margins. The best of it runs night into morning. Small adjustments will matter more than big moves. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Look for Bob Lake in the Luce County part of Michigan. The surface lies 735 feet up. At roughly 13 acres, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. The closest town, Newberry, is 18 miles away. The big place round here is Green Bay, 184 miles distant. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Fish documented in Luce County include yellow perch, white sucker, walleye, pink salmon and rock bass. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. The shape of Bob Lake decides where the fish sit.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 64°F, while January sits near 16°F. Winter closes the water for a while, and the reopening is worth catching. Look for the thaw near late April; the fishing lifts straight after. Ice clears near late April and comes back about early December in a typical year. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. Expect Bob Lake to follow that timing.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Mapping shows a campsite some half a mile from the water. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. State or provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Otter Lake sits 0.4 miles off and takes the overflow. Check the current arrangement for Bob Lake.
