No cloud to trap the day's warmth tonight, with flat calm through the day and pressure on the rise. Activity on Turner Pond should centre on the deeper corner and inflow. The day holds up well from morning through afternoon. Work the productive water thoroughly. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Set in Plymouth County, Turner Pond is a Massachusetts water. Country round the bank runs to farm and woodlot. At roughly 5 acres, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. On size it sits at the modest end of our Plymouth County list. Norwell is the closest town at 0.9 miles. Marshfield Hills lies 3 miles off, North Scituate another 3.2 miles. A county line runs close by, so local bylaws can differ within a short drive.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Records held for Plymouth County cover tessellated darter, striped bass, bluegill, swamp darter and chain pickerel. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. On Turner Pond that means starting tight and working out.
Climate normals give 72°F for July and 28°F for January. Some winters cap it and some do not. It is not guaranteed even in a cold spell, so check yourself. November and March are the quiet, comfortable months to be out. On Turner Pond that shapes the whole year. After a storm, the water clears from the edges inwards.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. You will be walking about half a mile from the nearest car park. Green Conservation Land takes in this water; protected-area rules will apply. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. Failing this one, try Torrey Pond, 0.5 miles away. Check the current arrangement for Turner Pond.
