Sunshine start to finish today, with a kind SE breeze on the water as pressure slides. Fish at Lake Carol should hold close to inflow corners and shaded margins. Block out the hours from night into morning. Cover water early, then settle where the signs are. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

The Fulton County end of Georgia holds Lake Carol. The land about it is pine and hardwood. The water measures roughly 3 acres, so nothing here is far from anything else. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Fulton County. College Park sits 5.2 miles from the bank. East Point follows at 5.5 miles, then Union City at 6.4 miles. The boundary is close enough to be worth checking before you fish.
Depth figures are not published for this one. Rip-rap along the wall holds fish that the open bank never does. Look for where the old bank line still shows under the surface. Documented catches and surveys in the area cover bluegill and eastern blackbanded darter. The records cover the area rather than this water alone. At Lake Carol light and wind decide more than tackle does.
Temperature averages peak at 79°F in July and bottom out at 42°F in January. There is no frozen season to plan round. Shade and hour of day matter more than month. February into May fishes hardest as the water warms. The season on Lake Carol follows the weather closely. Weed growth peaks in late summer and changes where you can fish.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. Parking sits half a mile out, which makes for a walk with tackle. A pier half a mile from here gives a platform over deeper water. Bluegill and other panfish take small jigs or worms under a float near any cover. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. If the gate is shut, Lake Jan at 0.1 miles is the nearest alternative. Check the position on Lake Carol before loading the car.
