Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with a helpful ripple pushed from the NE with the glass holding level. The fish at Halls Lake are likely to sit near the shaded margin through bright spells. The strongest window is the middle of the day. Start on the obvious water and expand from there.

The Wilkinson County entry here is Halls Lake, in Georgia. It stands 328 feet above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 15 acres, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. The nearest place of any size is Jeffersonville, 8.8 miles away. Gordon lies 16 miles off, Dublin another 20 miles. The boundary is close enough to be worth checking before you fish.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. The old creek line under the surface is the feature worth finding. The arms fish better than the open middle whenever the water is up. Open occurrence data for the surrounding area lists American eel, bowfin, chain pickerel and largemouth bass. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. At Halls Lake the water rewards a slow, careful approach.
Climate normals give 81°F for July and 46°F for January. Warm months push fish deep; cool months bring them back. March through May is the strongest run, with autumn a second stretch. April and May are the settled weeks, with October close behind. The season on Halls Lake rarely departs from it.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. Nothing is listed nearby for parking or launching a boat. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. If the gate is shut, Knights Pond at 1.7 miles is the nearest alternative. Confirm before you fish Halls Lake.
