A wide-open sky and strong sun today, with a whisper of wind from the NNW with the glass slipping lower. Whatever swims in Taylor Lake should be near shallow cover and weed edges. The productive run goes afternoon into evening. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Night
The Pinellas County end of Florida holds Taylor Lake. Beyond the shoreline you have warm green lowland. Surface area is around 51 acres, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The edge runs 1.4 miles or so, easy to work in an afternoon. Supplies mean a trip to Ridgecrest, 0.6 miles off. Beyond it, Largo at 1 mile and Belleair Bluffs at 1.4 miles. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth is not on record here, which means reading the ground instead. A reservoir gives you a hard edge, a shelf, and not much else. Draw-down through summer strips the margins, so follow the water out. Documented catches and surveys in the area cover flathead grey mullet, Florida gar, blue tilapia, bluegill and largemouth bass. That is what has been logged nearby, not a stocking list, so check local rules before you plan around any one species. Taylor Lake gives up more to patience than to distance.
Expect July to average close to 83°F, with January the cold end at about 61°F. Winter is simply the pleasant end of an unbroken season. Shade and hour of day matter more than month. Late winter often fishes better here than midsummer does. Plan around that when you fish Taylor Lake.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. A launch point is recorded some half a mile off. Parking is close: a car park sits half a mile from the bank. There are toilets mapped about half a mile away. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Walsingham Reservoir, 2.2 miles away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Taylor Lake in what we hold.
