Lake Rogers near Oviedo: Fishing Spots, Seasons and Access

  The Seminole County end of Florida holds Lake Rogers. It sits 22 miles in from the sea. At roughly 4 acres, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. On size it sits at the modest end of our Seminole County list. Oviedo lies 1.3 miles from the water. Orlando sits 14 miles out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. The county edge is within a short distance of the bank.

• Where to Fish on Lake Rogers

  No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Fish reported in the area, according to open records, include bluegill, redbreast sunfish, warmouth and black crappie. Reporting is uneven, so absence from the list means little.
