Bright moon and an empty sky tonight, with a steady NE wind and pressure going nowhere. Activity on Lake Olympia should centre on windblown banks where food collects. Block out the hours from night into morning. Cover water early, then settle where the signs are. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Out in Orange County, Florida, sits Lake Olympia. It lies 85 feet above sea level. The water covers some 87 acres, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. The whole outline is near 1.5 miles, and most of it is walkable. You are 1.2 miles from Ocoee. Gotha is 2.8 miles and Clarcona 3.4 miles. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Public wildlife records from this area list largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish and threadfin shad. Reporting is uneven, so absence from the list means little. Fish Lake Olympia where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
Expect July to average close to 82°F, with January the cold end at about 59°F. Fish feed through every month here. Heat pushes fish deep from June onwards, so start early. Spring and autumn carry the year; summer squeezes it into the ends of the day. That is the shape of the year on Lake Olympia.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Mapping shows no built access close by; expect to walk in from wherever you can leave the car. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Starke Lake, 0.8 miles away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Lake Olympia in what we hold.
