Clear overhead with good moonlight, with a stiffish breeze from the NE and pressure going nowhere. Whatever swims in Lake Mary should be near the first drop-off and weed lines. The productive run goes the day. Start on the obvious water and expand from there. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lake Mary lies within the bounds of Seminole County, Florida. It sits in open low country country. It measures about 100 acres, which is a comfortable size for bank fishing. Shoreline comes to about 2.6 miles, small enough to learn in a day. Few waters listed in Seminole County are bigger. The closest town, Lake Mary, is 0.4 miles away. Heathrow lies 3.7 miles off, Winter Springs another 3.8 miles. Being near a boundary, it pays to know which side you are fishing.
No published figure covers depth, so learn it as you fish. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Open occurrence data for the surrounding area lists bluegill, largemouth bass, blue tilapia, threadfin shad and black crappie. That is what has been logged nearby, not a stocking list, so check local rules before you plan around any one species. Read Lake Mary before you fish it and the day goes better.
Between January at about 59°F and July at about 82°F, the water has a wide range to work through. Warmth runs the whole year, so timing is about the hour, not the month. Heat pushes fish deep from June onwards, so start early. June to September is hot work, so the first and last hours are what count. At Lake Mary the season follows that pattern closely.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Recorded parking is half a mile off, far enough to travel light. A jetty or pier is mapped about half a mile from here. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. For a change of water, Lake Bingham is 1 mile distant. Ask locally about Lake Mary if anything is unclear.
