Sunshine start to finish today, with just enough N wind to ripple the surface as pressure slides. Fish at Lake Fuller should hold close to the calm side of the wind. The day fishes best from night into morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Set in Orange County, Florida, this is Lake Fuller. Warm bottomland runs right down to the water. With some 43 acres of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. For supplies, South Apopka is 1.3 miles out. The big place round here is Orlando, 12 miles distant. What else is close: Lake Semmes (0.6 miles), Lake Witherington out at 0.7 miles, Lake Opal (0.8 miles), Lower Doe Lake out at 1 mile and Marshall Lake (1.1 miles). The county line runs close by, so rules can change within a short drive.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Nearby survey and observation records mention bluegill, largemouth bass, redbreast sunfish, spotted sunfish and blue tilapia. It is a record of sightings and surveys, so use it as a guide. At Lake Fuller the water rewards a slow, careful approach.
In an average year July sits at 82°F and January at 59°F. Every month fishes, though midsummer narrows the useful hours. The cooler months are the comfortable ones to be out. Spring and autumn carry the year; summer squeezes it into the ends of the day. The season on Lake Fuller follows the weather closely.
No access rule appears in what we hold. Expect a half a mile walk in from where the car goes. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. The nearest alternative is Lake Semmes, 0.6 miles out. Rules at Lake Fuller are worth checking on the day.
