No cloud to trap the day's warmth tonight, with a persistent wind from the NE with a softening glass. Most of the action on Lake Crescent should come off sheltered bays and points. The day fishes best from night into morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

You will find Lake Crescent in Orange County, Florida. The bank is 95 feet above sea level. Around 187 acres of surface means several distinct areas to work. Around 2.4 miles of margin, front to back. On our Orange County list it sits near the top for size. Lake Butler at 1.2 miles is the nearest place to stop. After that come Windermere at 1.8 miles and Gotha at 2.6 miles. The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
Our records hold no depth for this water. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Biodiversity records within roughly six miles include largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish and Florida gar. Reported species tell you what lives around here, nothing more. Lake Crescent repays a walk before the first cast.
Climate records put July near 82°F and January near 59°F. Cold never shuts this water down; heat is the only limit. Season rules are a separate question. March through May is the strongest run, with autumn a second stretch. April and May are the settled weeks, with October close behind. The season on Lake Crescent follows the weather closely.
No access rule appears in what we hold. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Formal access is not mapped, so the last stretch is likely on foot. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. State or provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lake Buynak, 0.8 miles away, makes the obvious fallback. What applies at Lake Crescent may have changed since it was mapped.
