Drifting cloud with clear gaps tonight, with a decent NE wind working the banks and the barometer holding steady. Expect most activity at Lake Claudette around the margins and the shelf beyond them. Plan around the stretch from night into morning. Keep moving until you find them. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lake Claudette is one of the Orange County listings for Florida. Elevation runs to 98 feet. At roughly 3 acres, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. Most waters listed here for Orange County are larger. Some 1.6 miles away sits Azalea Park, the nearest settlement. Orlando sits 3.1 miles out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. The boundary is close enough to be worth checking before you fish.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Records collected within a few miles name bluegill, largemouth bass and warmouth. Reporting is uneven, so absence from the list means little. Lake Claudette fishes better once you know its edges.
Climate records put July near 82°F and January near 60°F. Cold never shuts this water down; heat is the only limit. Season rules are a separate question. Heat pushes fish deep from June onwards, so start early. March through May is the strongest run, with October and November a second stretch. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lake Claudette.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. A car park sits roughly half a mile away. There is a toilet block some half a mile out. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Should this one be busy, Lake Georgette is 0.4 miles off. For Lake Claudette in particular, ask before you travel.
