Clear air and long views across the water tonight, with a consistent blow out of the NE with a firming glass. Expect most activity at Bay Lake around windblown banks where food collects. The productive run goes night into morning. Start on the obvious water and expand from there. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Bay Lake lies in Osceola County, in Florida. It lies 66 feet above sea level. At about 113 acres, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. The full circuit measures close to 1.8 miles on foot. Saint Cloud is the closest place, 7.3 miles off. Buenaventura Lakes lies 14 miles off, Kissimmee another 16 miles. No boundary runs near, so the county rules hold throughout.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Documented catches and surveys in the area cover bluegill, Florida gar, largemouth bass and redear sunfish. Use it to know what is possible here, not what is certain. At Bay Lake the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
Temperature averages peak at 82°F in July and bottom out at 60°F in January. There is no cold season worth the name. October and November give a second good stretch as it cools. Late winter often fishes better here than midsummer does. The season on Bay Lake rarely departs from it.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Parking sits 0.9 miles out, which makes for a walk with tackle. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. Buck Lake at 1.5 miles is the sensible second choice. For Bay Lake in particular, ask before you travel.
