Open sky and sharp air tonight, with a busy NE wind on the open water and steady pressure. Banjo Lake should fish best around the weed line and any gaps in it today. Expect the better fishing from the day. Give the likely spots time before moving. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

The Pasco County end of Florida holds Banjo Lake. It stands 92 feet above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 10 acres, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. Our Pasco County list holds plenty of bigger water. Supplies mean a trip to Land O' Lakes, 0.9 miles off. The big place round here is Tampa, 19 miles distant. The boundary is near enough that local access rules are worth double-checking.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Documented catches and surveys in the area cover largemouth bass, bluegill, bowfin and Florida gar. Presence in the area does not guarantee a fish in this exact water on the day. At Banjo Lake light and wind decide more than tackle does.
Expect July near 82°F and January near 59°F on the long-run figures. Heat, not cold, decides when to be on the water. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer squeezes it into the edges of the day. February into May fishes hardest as the water warms. Time your trip to Banjo Lake by conditions rather than dates.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. A launch point is recorded some half a mile off. Parking is not close: half a mile from the bank, and no nearer option is mapped. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Black Lake at 0.6 miles is the sensible second choice. Signs at Banjo Lake carry more weight than any list.
