A closed sky with even light today, with the surface near flat with the barometer flat. Start the search at Lake Louise along reed fringes and open pockets. The forecast backs the stretch from morning through afternoon. Ride the conditions while they last. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Lake Louise lies in Chambers County, Alabama. The surface lies 804 feet up. This is a pocket water of some 25 acres, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. It is among the larger waters listed here for Chambers County. Nearest town is Roanoke, 2.2 miles off. Beyond it, Lafayette at 15 miles and West Point at 20 miles. The boundary is near enough that local access rules are worth double-checking.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. Standing timber shows when the level drops, and fish sit against it. Held water runs deepest at the wall and shallows back to the inflow. Species logged nearby in open biodiversity records include bluegill, green sunfish, tallapoosa darter, blackbanded darter and blacktail redhorse. Records come from public data, not from a stocking programme. The shape of Lake Louise decides where the fish sit.
Between January at about 43°F and July at about 79°F, the water has a wide range to work through. Fishing runs all year, with summer the awkward season. The cooler months are the comfortable ones to be out. June to September is hot work, so the first and last hours are what count. At Lake Louise the season follows that pattern closely.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. No car park, ramp or path is recorded within easy reach of the shore. Bluegill and other panfish take small jigs or worms under a float near any cover. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. If the gate is shut, Smith and Norred Lake at 1.7 miles is the nearest alternative. Rules at Lake Louise are worth checking on the day.
