Heavy overcast holding through the day, with light air out of the SE with a settled glass. On Lac Vibert, work the shallows early and the drop later first. If you must go, go in the night. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Look for Lac Vibert in Côte-Nord, Quebec. It stands 124 metres above sea level. At about 89 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. You are looking at roughly 12 km of shoreline, with plenty of water between access points. Ground here is low by Quebec standards. Maliotenam sits 85 km from here and is the nearest stop. Saguenay sits 490 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Fish documented in Côte-Nord include logperch. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Lac Vibert responds to conditions more than to tactics.
Temperature averages peak at 15°C in July and bottom out at -15°C in January. The window is narrow, and fish feed hard while it lasts. Count the season from break-up, usually early May. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about mid November. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. That is the shape of the year on Lac Vibert.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. The map shows no ramp or car park nearby, so this is a walk-in water. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. Should this one be busy, Lac en Croix is 4.7 km off. Check the position on Lac Vibert before loading the car.
