Solid cloud cover today, with just enough S wind to ripple the surface and steady pressure. Expect most activity at Lac Trego around structure within a cast of the bank. The numbers single out the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lac Trego is set in Laurentides, Quebec. It stands 364 metres above sea level. Around 12 hectares of surface means several distinct areas to work. The edge runs 1.8 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. Supplies mean a trip to Rivière-Rouge, 27 km off. Labelle lies 41 km off, La Minerve another 46 km. The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Fish documented in Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Read Lac Trego before you fish it and the day goes better.
On the long-term average, July reads 18°C and January reads -15°C. Winter shuts things down for a spell, then spring reopens them fast. The lid usually goes in late April, which opens the strongest weeks of the year. Ice usually gives way near late April, and forms again about late November. The first weeks of open water and the last are the ones to plan for. On Lac Trego the same rules apply, with local timing.
Public data does not answer the access question here. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Keep proof of licence with you rather than in the car. If the gate is shut, Lac Trinite at 2 km is the nearest alternative. Ask locally about Lac Trego if anything is unclear.
