Solid cloud cover today, with air barely moving and pressure going nowhere. Give the weed line and any gaps in it the first hour at Lac Trajot. The strongest window is the night. Take the steady approach over the searching one. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Lac Trajot is set in Outaouais, Quebec. The bank is 212 metres above sea level. It covers about 9 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. It is low-lying compared with other Quebec water we list. The nearest place of any size is Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, 5.1 km away. Beyond it, La Minerve at 24 km and Lac-Simon at 28 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Our records hold no depth for this water. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Public occurrence data for Outaouais names pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. Take it as the county picture rather than a promise for this water. Lac Trajot gives up more to patience than to distance.
Temperature averages peak at 18°C in July and bottom out at -14°C in January. The year splits cleanly: hard water, then open water. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about late April. Average temperatures cross freezing around late April in spring and again near late November in autumn. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Lac Trajot fishes to that pattern most years.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. The nearest car park we can see is 950 m out, so expect a walk with your gear. There are picnic tables 1.3 km away. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Lac Marcaut, 2.8 km away, makes the obvious fallback. For Lac Trajot, the notice at the access point is the final word.
