No direct sun expected today, with a mirror surface most of the day and pressure sitting still. On Lac Terbos, work reed fringes and open pockets first. A grinding day likely, with the night worth the effort if any is. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Lac Terbos lies in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec. The water sits 359 metres up. At roughly 7 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. The town to know is Deep River, 102 km out. Beyond it, Notre-Dame-du-Lac at 110 km and Mattawa at 111 km. Within a short drive: 0.6 km out stands Lac Abouline, Lac Prunier at 0.9 km, 1.4 km out stands Lac Tagal, Lac Baignolet at 1.9 km and 1.9 km out stands Lac Scoury. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. County-wide records name northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. At Lac Terbos light and wind decide more than tackle does.
Between January at about -15°C and July at about 17°C, the water has a wide range to work through. Four clear seasons, with a proper winter at one end. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about late April. Ice clears near late April and comes back about late November in a typical year. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. Plan around that when you fish Lac Terbos.
We have no record of the rules that apply on this bank. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Check locally before you travel, because a wasted drive is a long one. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. For a change of water, Lac Abouline is 0.6 km distant. Confirm before you fish Lac Terbos.
