Cloud from horizon to horizon today, with mild air moving in from the NNW with the glass holding level. Whatever swims in Lac Selina should be near points where shallow meets deep. A stay-home graph, with the morning as the one excuse to go. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today.

Lac Selina falls in Côte-Nord, part of Quebec. It sits at 545 metres above sea level. With some 48 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. There is roughly 7.4 km of bank, more than one visit can cover properly. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Quebec listings. Labrador City at 262 km is the nearest place to stop. Saguenay is the closest city, 825 km away. The nearest edge is a long way off, so local rules apply throughout.
No depth figure appears in our records, so the bank has to tell you. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Survey and observation records for Côte-Nord include logperch. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. Lac Selina repays a walk before the first cast.
Averages move between -24°C in January and 11°C in July. This is a two-season water: locked, then wide open. Count the season from break-up, usually early June. The season between ice runs from about early June to late October. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. Lac Selina fishes to that pattern most years.
No public source sets out the position on this bank. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Lac Mary, 1.8 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Check the position at Lac Selina before loading the car.
