Flat light and a covered sky today, with next to no ripple and pressure going nowhere. Whatever swims in Lac Sakimay should be near the seam between weed and open water. If you pick one session, make it the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Outaouais in Quebec is where Lac Sakimay sits. Land around it is mixed forest. It covers about 3 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Outaouais. Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel is the closest place, 27 km off. For a city, Orléans is 55 km off. Close neighbours run: Lac du Trepas at 0.5 km, Lac Nanouk within 1.8 km, Lac Pwagan at 1.8 km, Lac Larris within 2.2 km and Lac Sikip at 2.3 km. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Outaouais records list pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass among the fish reported. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. The shape of Lac Sakimay rewards a slow walk along one bank.
July runs about 18°C on average, January about -14°C. Four clear seasons, with a proper winter at one end. Expect a solid lid for months and a thaw around late April. Averages place the thaw at late April and the freeze at late November. Early summer and early autumn carry the open-water season. That is the shape of the year on Lac Sakimay.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Lac du Trepas sits 0.5 km off and takes the overflow. Treat access at Lac Sakimay as something to verify.
