Steady rain over the water today, with the water lying quiet and pressure going nowhere. Whatever swims in Lac Robinson should be near points where shallow meets deep. The morning carries the best of the day. A careful, quiet approach will out-fish a busy one. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Lac Robinson lies in Capitale-Nationale, Quebec. Beyond the shoreline you have pine and birch. Surface area runs to roughly 1.07 sq km, so plan for one area rather than the whole. It is among the larger waters listed here for Capitale-Nationale. Laurentides sits 6.2 km from the bank. Sainte-Thècle is 40 km and La Tuque 44 km. It sits well inside its county, with no border complications.
No chart reached our records; the first cast is your sounding. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Across Capitale-Nationale, recorded fish include lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon, longnose sucker, sauger and channel catfish. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. On Lac Robinson the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
In an average year July sits at 18°C and January at -15°C. The year splits cleanly: hard water, then open water. After late April the shallows warm and the fish move up. Averages suggest open water from about late April through to roughly late November. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. It holds true on Lac Robinson more years than not.
Nothing on record says whether the bank is open or closed. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. For walleye, a jig and minnow near the bottom is the standard; evenings beat middays. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac des Souchets, 1.4 km away, makes the obvious fallback. For Lac Robinson, the notice at the access point is the final word.
