A wet system passing over today, with steady pressure of wind from the SSW and steady pressure. Activity on Lac Robert should centre on windblown banks where food collects. The night is where the day comes good. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Lanaudière in Quebec is where Lac Robert sits. The bank is 533 metres above sea level. The water measures roughly 3 hectares, so nothing here is far from anything else. On size it sits at the modest end of our Lanaudière list. Manawan lies 28 km from the water. The big place round here is Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, 150 km distant. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Survey and observation records for Lanaudière include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and rock bass. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. Anyone new to Lac Robert should walk it once before setting up.
The warmest month averages 16°C, the coldest about -16°C. Cold dominates the calendar on water this far north. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. In an average year the thaw lands around early May and the freeze near mid November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. That shapes the year on Lac Robert.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. A phone call first saves an afternoon. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. For a change of water, Lac Rocheux is 0.5 km distant. Check the position at Lac Robert before loading the car.
