A mixed sky through the night, with flat calm through the day with the glass holding level. Most of the action on Lac Revens should come off points where shallow meets deep. A slow day overall; the morning is the best of a quiet lot. Go lighter and slower than usual. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Look for Lac Revens in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec. What surrounds it is lake country bush. About 5 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. On size it sits at the modest end of our Abitibi-Témiscamingue list. Val-d'Or is the closest place, 104 km off. Malartic follows at 118 km, then Deep River at 125 km. It sits well inside its county, with no border complications.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Fish documented in Abitibi-Témiscamingue include northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Treat Lac Revens as a water to read rather than to cover.
Seasonal averages run from -16°C in January up to 17°C in July. Winter shuts things down for a spell, then spring reopens them fast. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about early May. On average, early May opens the water and late November closes it again. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. Lac Revens runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Failing this one, try Lac Chanon, 0.8 km away. What applies at Lac Revens may have changed since it was mapped.
