Dull, settled light over the water, with next to no ripple with the barometer flat. The productive water at Lac Ramel will be around the margins and the shelf beyond them. A stay-home graph, with the morning as the one excuse to go. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac Ramel is an Abitibi-Témiscamingue water, in Quebec. The ground around here is mixed forest. Small enough that any disturbance crosses the whole surface. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Val-d'Or is the closest place, 86 km off. Then Senneterre, 95 km, and Malartic, 107 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Open data we checked carries no depth for this water. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Species logged across Abitibi-Témiscamingue include northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Lac Ramel responds to conditions more than to tactics.
The warm month here averages 17°C; the cold one sits at -16°C. Fishing here follows the temperature more than the calendar. Once it clears, about early May, the fishing comes on quickly. Break-up near early May, freeze-up near late November: that is the shape of an average year. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Lac Ramel runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Lac Sapote sits 1.7 km off and takes the overflow. For Lac Ramel in particular, ask before you travel.
