No direct sun expected today, with a gentle ripple from the S with a settled glass. The fish at Lac Perdu are likely to sit near the seam between weed and open water. Save your energy for the night. Change depth before you change anything else. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Within Laurentides, Quebec, you have Lac Perdu. Beyond the shoreline you have rolling bush. It covers about 3 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. It is a small entry by Laurentides standards. The town to know is Ferme-Neuve, 43 km out. Gatineau sits 180 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Public occurrence data for Laurentides names pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. Lac Perdu gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
The seasonal spread runs -15°C to 17°C. Expect a real winter and a strong spring after it. After late April the shallows warm and the fish move up. From about late April to around late November, expect open water on the long-run figures. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. The season on Lac Perdu follows the weather closely.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. A phone call first saves an afternoon. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Should this one be busy, Lac Henri is 1.4 km off. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Perdu for certain.
